Description: Pale golden-orange, slightly opaque, barrel-aged, Rakau dry-hopped Belgian Trappist Tripel. The complex fruit and spice of the Tripel are balanced with notes of French Oak tannins including vanilla from the Cabernet Sauvignon French Oak barrels. The Saaz hops provide a light spicy complexity to the aroma with very low bitterness. The New Zealand Rakau hops used heavily during dry-hopping provide a hint of resinous pine and aromas of stone fruit & orchard fruits, especially apricot, as well as fig characteristics that have an interesting interplay with the dark fruit flavors that come from the barrels previous inhabitant, the Belgian Dubbel. This beer has a medium-light body and is highly drinkable despite its higher ABV.
