Whilst the explanation for the name Ginger Nol holds together, we are unaware at this time as to any smokey attributes Oliver Cromwell may have had! Having decided to change the name of Ginger Nol to Ginger No. 1, we have now decided to change the name of this beer also - it is now simply called Smoked Ale.
