Description: In 1861, William Heising began a brewery and saloon at the old “Minnesota House,” which stood on the northwest corner of Fifth and Bush Streets in Red Wing. His successor, a German named Adolf Remmler, led the brewery to become one of the two prominent beer manufacturers in Red Wing until Prohibition. We proudly re-introduce the original 1896 recipe of the brewery’s flagship brand – Remmler’s Royal Brew. Back in the day, this beer was greatly enjoyed by those who thirsted for something strong and flavorful, and we believe that it is time, once again, for Remmler’s Royal Brew to take its place as a Red Wing favorite.
