Description: We wanted a dark beer that wasn’t overly roasty or astringent from too much specialty malt, so we used flaked oats for body, and used molasses, brown sugar, and maple syrup to complement the grist bill for a smooth, rich stout. Cocoa, chocolate, and brown sugar in the aroma, rich, dark roasted malt in the flavor with a creamy mouthfeel from the addtion of oats. This beer pairs well with rich deserts.
