Description: Pours the colour of mississippi mud pie with a thin brown cap that disappears quicker than Willie Nelson when the tax man comes. The label cracks me up when it says this is a "Royal Canadian Quad" & it really is a fun mash up of beer styles. It’s got the imperial stout look (except for the non-existant cap) & chocolate notes; its got the imperial IPA flavour (not really as hoppy as others of the style); its got the Belgian sugar (almost soda-pop-like at times) & crisp finish. It’s really a good, fun beer & you’d never guess it was packing 10% ABV the way a gangsta packs a sawed off shotgun in his baggy pants. Like the rest of the brews in the 5 paddles stable its got the sugar cranked up to 11 so you may wanna serve this as a dessert or cellar it until Halloween.
