Description: Our English style Extra Special Bitter (ESB) pays homage to David Bowie's band, Spiders From Mars. Known for it's balance and interplay between malt and hop bitterness, the name Extra Special Bitter (ESB) is somewhat misleading as it is not all that bitter. We used Simpsons Golden Promise malt for a rich malt background and a sweet, bready/biscuit flavor. To balance the malt, we added mild herbal flavored English hops. Stop by and take a trip to England without leaving the 515.
