Description: Strong Scotch Ale is a strong ale that was traditionally brewed in Edinburgh in the 19th century and became better known as Wee Heavy. Like the original Alstærk which has become one of the most popular beer among Munkebo fans, this strong Scottish ale are brewed of 7 different carefully selected dark malts and with a low content of bitter hops that highlights malt sweetness. To the delight of our fans, we have created this very special edition of Alstærk. Aged in American oak with a specially selected Knob Creek Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey has Alstærk Bourbon gotten even stronger and complexity and notes of smoke and whiskey.
