Description: Especially amongst female craft beer lovers in Southern Europe, he is often named the most handsome and sexy persona in modern gypsy brewing. And although some twin in Brooklyn may object, we however tend to agree. Sexy AND sweet and also rumored to be kind to animals. And yes, we are of course talking of Brian "Stillwater" Strumke, Baltimore's proudest son. With a past in rock music, Brian is used to a high level of adoration, but in recent years Brian's primary claim to fame is his wonderful way of bringing Belgian beer styles into the modern age. Brian's many tweaks and twists of the Saison style in particular could be considered respectless by purists, but in our opinion nothing could be further from the truth. Stillwater Artisanal has simply taken the best of Belgian brewing and given it a much needed kick in the butt. We always admired Stillwater's extremely classy design, but knowing Brian we also figured he could do with a little more edge. "Darkest of Suns" is our attempt at being just that - in both title and design - a little edgy. Please forgive us Brian!
