Description: Based on one of JC’s favorite homebrew recipes, he brewed this for his wedding in Lake Tahoe in July of ’13. The vision was a thirst quenching, sessionable beer with as much hop character as you’d find in an IPA. “Man, I wish this Tecate could be dry hopped with Citra.” That was it! We used only Citra hops for this beer (kettle and dry hop), and fermented it with Mexican lager yeast. Heaps of lychee, grapefruit, and mango amid a light grainy background. The use of about 10% malted white wheat gives the palate a nice mouthfeel. Feel free to consume in relative quantity, preferably on a hot day after a surf. Citraveza goes well with our falafel tacos (tues nights only), or any type of seafood.
