Description: Area brewers from along the Andrew Jackson Highway have come together for Ryeway 74 Collaboration Ale, a Red Rye Ale with smooth, spicy flavors, balanced with hoppy and unique malty notes, developed with heirloom barley and rye malt from WNC’s own Riverbend Malt House. Brewed at BearWaters. Five brewers collaborated on Ryeway 74: Kevin Sandefur from Bearwaters Brewing, Clark Williams of Frog Level Brewing and Jon Bowman from Tipping Point Tavern represent the Waynesville stretch of road, with Nantahala Brewing’s Greg Geiger of Bryson City and Sylva’s Gnometown brewer Dieter Kuhn of Heinzelmännchen Brewing contributing their expertise from the more western parts of Highway 74.
