Description: The ongoing barrel blend series is named Barn Owl, as a nod to the wise and exacting animal that keeps watch over the farmhouse. Released sporadically throughout the year, just as soon as we deem the barrels ripe for the picking, these beers will be one-off creations never to be replicated again. Blend No.4 — This release is a blend of Brett Farmhouse Ales that aged for a year in old use oak barrels with currants. It’s exactly the kind of beer we love making and drinking — dry, slightly funky, subtley tart but not sour (we like sour beers but this one isn’t), with a hint of fruit. We definitely see more currants in our future.
