Description: Schöps is a very old beer style that was almost lost to history. It was popular from the Middle Ages up through the early 19th century in and around the then German city of Breslau. Schöps is a malty beer of bock strength, brewed primarily with wheat malt and a neutral ale yeast. Our rendition represents the classic “Schwarzes Schöps” which is almost black in color but with a very restrained roast character. Silver Medal winner at the International Beer Cup 2022 (Japan).
