Description: Maduro Brown Ale 5.2% ABV 17 IBUs On occasion I enjoy a nice maduro cigar with a smooth brown ale. Then I thought, why not combine the two? "Maduro" is a Spanish adjective meaning "ripe," but in the cigar world it refers to dark ripened tobacco, which has a deep brown color, much like this beer. To craft a cigar beer we start with lots of caramel and biscuit malts to obtain a rich molasses character with a medium body and a clean finish. We used a light hand with the East Kent Golding hops, which play a supporting role in this brew. A pinch of peat-smoked distiller’s malt completes your Maduro cigar smoking experience. No ashtray needed.
