Description: In October 2016 (i.e. beginning of the season 16-17), we bought a superb fresh toasted oak barrel, handcrafted by one of Italy’s most renowned coopers. 1st of November 2016 we put about 500 kilos of sour cherries with 500 liters of 1-year old (young)lambic. Elegant yet powerful. A small volume was/is put on handpump draught for the Toer de Geuze 2017. At Brouwerij 3 Fonteinen, we believe that within the frame of lambic tradition, there is potential to further innovate with aromas and flavours or even to go back to old processes or local “Speling van het Lot” “Twist of Fate” indicates our small-scale projects, always created with lots of desire and passion, it will also be our pleasure to let our visitors taste it, before making some more.
