Description: Semillon Sour Blonde is a single barrel of sour blonde (Rueuze base) that was brewed in December 2013. In June 2014 it received left over Semillon must (non botrytis) from our collaboration with Smog City, which fermented out with the mixed culture in the barrel. 28% of the beer is made up of by the Semillon must. Semillon is a pretty subtle variety when used in dry wines (Bordeaux Blanc), with notes of mild citrus and minerals. This beer is very dry and citrusy with huge medium-plus American Oak contributions from a new to us wine barrel.
