Description: Awarded Best in Show in the 2017 NC Brewers’ Cup, this Black Lager is crisp, clean, and easy to enjoy. Don’t let the dark color fool you, a Schwarzbier, as they are known in Germany, gets it’s dark color from a small amount of roasted malts that impart a low bitterness, gentle roastiness, and reddish-black hue. The Starlite drive-in movie theatre originally opened in the mid-1940s, and then closed down in 1961. In 1986, Bob Groves reopened the theatre which remained open until a tragic fire in 2004. The community rallied together to rebuild the screen, but the theatre closed for good in 2007 after Bob’s passing.
