When we decided to celebrate the memory of everyone's favorite sessionable stout, we knew we had to double up, so we double-mashed and 6-hour boiled this lactose-rich milk stout. We then aging it upon loads of Bourbon vanilla bean and a blend of seasonal coffees from Bear and the gang at Onyx Coffee Lab in Arkansas. This blend is made up of beans from the Sidama zone of Ethiopia and a single-origin coffee from the Embu region of Kenya. Bold baking spice, dark chocolate, blueberry, rummy pound cake, and citrus zest are just a few of the profound aromas found in this killer grog.
