Description: The best day of the year comes once every summer when the Brew Crew and friends travel to Westport on Massachusetts’ Atlantic Coast to pick fresh heather flowers. After a long day of toiling in the sun, we hustle home and add them to the kettle to create our world famous Heather Ale.Brewed with imported Scottish floor-malted barley, fresh hand-harvested heather flowers are added to the kettle during the boil along with sweet gale and lavender, with a further addition of fresh heather and yarrow to the conditioning tanks.
