Description: Le Confort du Vide is our American Barleywine, L’apel du Vide, that has been quietly resting in a single one of our reserved barrels from our Buffalo Trace Distillery excursion for over a year. This first anniversary release was aged with the intent of perfection and rarity, much the same as its bourbon counterpart. With hefty aromas of brown sugar, vanilla and bourbon, layers of caramel blend seamlessly with a gentle bitterness from American hops to round out each sip. Exploding with barrel character, vanilla and charred oak lead the charge, giving way to pleasant alcohol warmth.
