Description: 2012: The 5th Vintage This vintage has appealing, lifted fruit-like notes as a result of the fresh Galaxy hops which were added to the kettle within 24 hours of picking. 12 months on from the release of the vintage, the lifted notes will have mellowed and become more integrated as the beer has matured. Similar to the latest release, the 2012 vintage will have a rich, caramelised malty flavour on the palate, balanced by bitter-sweet hop characters and finishing with a smooth, full-bodied mouth feel. This vintage also varies from previous vintages as the Dargaud et Jaegle barrels will offer a slightly drier mouth feel from the tannins, counter-balancing the sweetness of the hops and adding to the complexity of the final brew. Crown Ambassador begins with our signature ingredients the highest quality barley specification, yeast and the first choice Pride of Ringwood Hops with the addition of handpicked specially selected hops from the cooler micro-climate district of the Ovens Valley in Victoria. Paramount to Crown Ambassador’s quality is the stringent use of only the first runnings. The result is a superb tasting and higher-alcohol strength beer (10% ABV). The beer is cooled, then matured for four months following fermentation. This allows the complex flavours to develop further, creating a smooth, full-bodied taste - the hallmark of Crown Ambassador. Finally, the brew undergoes a secondary fermentation, where yeast is added ensuring each bottle is truly unique.
