Description: This flavorful, easy drinking, amber lager was brewed to benefit the Seneca Park Zoo’s efforts in Madagascar. As fall is quickly approaching, we felt that a German-style Vienna lager would be very appropriate for this beer. Brewed as an ‘Americanized’ Oktoberfest, this beer is very clean finishing but has a great malt flavor and hop profile. The Lemur Lager is slightly hoppier than its German counterparts, but has that same caramel, toasted malt flavor derived from heating the malt to very high temperatures during the mash. The beer is then cold fermented and lagered to give it a crisp, refreshing finish. We used German malts and hops and gave it extra time in tanks to age cold. We think you’ll agree that this beer is as special as the cause it was made for. Cheers!
