Description: This 2 barrel blend is split between a medium bodied, roast forward stout that aged in a Weller Bourbon barrel for one year and an intensely chewy, molasses heavy stout that aged in a Blanton’s Bourbon barrel for 8 months. The result is a thick, marshmallowy oil of a stout that is layered with all manner of chocolate, toffee and cremè brûlée. The bourbon and oak are supremely well integrated with hints of boozy whiskey and vanilla along with hints of rich French roast coffee that become more apparent as your let the beer warm. Fans of Ocean of Storms will probably enjoy this blend as we see some similarities in body, sweetness and character.
