Description: One of our ongoing projects at Clandestine is the brewing of unique beers based on newly available experimental hops. In order to maximize the aromatic and flavor qualities of each hop, we brew with only the 1 type of hop and 100% Pilsner malt. Our first two of the series are on tap now at the tasting room - we're calling this series of beers "Hopothetical". Hopethetical: Caliente - Caliente hops have been available in limited quantity from Yakima Valley Hops for the past two crops. From our brew, expect to find a good deal of peach and apricot in the aroma and flavor, as well as a pungent hint of a peppery, Belgian yeast-like spiciness. An interesting hop for sure.
