Description: Sand Tiger Sharks are known to be sentinels, guarding the graveyard of the Atlantic - and now they need their own protection. As a result of unregulated fishing, where populations were decimated up to 90%, these sharks are now listed as vulnerable on the IUCN Red List. As a collaboration with the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores, we brewed this rustic American Pilsner to bring awareness to their conservation. This beer is composed of half pilsner malt and half locally grown rye, in addition to receiving secondary additions of basil, lemon peel and loral hops. So raise your glass high, and keep the Sand Tiger Shark in mind as you enjoy this farmhouse lager.
