Description: This beer is based on a historical recipe from the 1860s. Originally made for export to the colonies, it was a heavy beer aged in barrels for months and had Brandy and Juniper Berries added. We adjusted the recipe in negotiation with beer historian Roel Mulder. We fermented on stainless and used Brandy soaked juniper berries and added a Brett culture (as this pre-pasteur beer would probably have it), letting it ferment and age for half a year.
