Description: Enjoy between 8-12degC. Doctor’s Orders Synapse is a Black Saison, a modern twist on a traditional style. Taking the traditional but wide spectrumed Belgian/French Saison style and making it black, but without the roast and astringency often associated with dark coloured ales. Produced using an ale base malt, a good dose of wheat and European crystal with a final injection of huskless roast malt at the beginning of the sparge to provide colour and hints of chocolate. The combination of three additions of Spalt hops with the French Saison yeast that was allowed free unrestrained reign of the wort provides the spicy bitterness and the dry and subtle tart finish without letting the 6% dominate your palette.
