Description: This imperial style American red ale raises the bar among our high gravity ales. That burn isn’t just your world crashing down around you from having one too many of these innocent looking pints, it’s the 9.2% alcohol content. High usage of caramel malts gives the beer a deep red color and very lightly sweet finish. Aggressive use of Zythos, Chinook, Cascade, and Horizon hops add a strong bitterness as well as flavors that may be described as citrusy, resinous, piney, and headachey. Dry hopping allows the hop aroma to compete with the strong malty backbone.
