Description: An obscure German style, Lichty is a light slightly sour 45% wheat gruit with beechwood smoked malt. Traditionally there’d be some hops too but we added poplar buds, wood bettony, and a bunch of birch twigs and bark instead–go figure. Fermented with a Canadian/Belgian ale yeast and tarted up with acidulated malt, it’s a nice change-up for your drinking pleasure; unusual, smooth, and quite crushable!
