Description: COMING IN OCTOBER 2016 Leicester folklore tells the story of Black Annis, who clawed her lair into the rocks of Dane Hills with her vast talons. This blue skinned creature preyed on the small children who strayed nearby after dark and she reached her long arms through windows to steal local babies. Until the late 18th century, the people of Leicester held a mock hunt outside Annis’ bower, where a dead cat, soaked in aniseed was dragged throughout the streets. Black Annis Porter is a wickedly robust beer, enchanted with star anise. With aromas of dandelion and burdock on the nose and a real depth of flavour with hints of coffee.
