Description: This collaborative beer was brewed by Ryan of Bære Brewing and Chris of Factotum Brewhouse. They took Bære’s pre-existing French Saison and gave it a spin by adding three different squash varieties: butternut, acorn, and calabaza (the calabaza coming from Chris’ own backyard garden). The resulting saison features a slicker mouthfeel than the original recipe and boasts a subtle hint of squash flavor. Calabaza squash is used in lieu of pumpkin in some recipes so this beer might be considered a substitute for pumpkin ale.
