Description: Smuggler’s Notch is a mountain pass in Vermont that was used for bootlegging across the US-Canadian border during Prohibition. We like to play with styles, so we’ve smuggled some West Coast attributes – class citrusy hops (Centennial, Amarillo) and clarity – into a New England-style IPA base beer brewed with Maris Otter malt, GigaYeast Vermont IPA yeast, and tons of late kettle hops and dry hops to provide a wealth of flavor and aroma without overpowering bitterness. The result? A beautiful hybrid of current regional takes on the style, and one you’ll want to smuggle away to enjoy later too! Brewed with CrowdBrewed supporters, Matt Mahnke, David Cuetter, and Mike Vasquez.
