This Nut Brown is a flavorful, malt-focused beer with hints of nuttiness, biscuit, and caramel, with a moderate, off-white to light tan head. The malt character has some biscuity and nutty flavors and aromas, while there is little hop bitterness character. This well crafted ale is a modest 23 IBUs and 5.5% ABV. The story behind the name: The storied Italian general Italo Balbo, later to be named Commander-in- Chief of the North African Forces during WW2, lead squadron (24) of Italian S-55 Savoia Marchetti hydroplanes to Shediac in 1933 on his way to and back from the Chicago World's Fair.
