Description: Our Maple & Bourbon Imperial Stout started its life as Fourpure Oatmeal Stout, a great beer sure, but as a happy accident would have it we had an issue between mash and boil that required some quick thinking and a bit of innovation. We wanted to use the wort to create something really special and this was the result. The addition of bourbon oak chips and whole vanilla pods offset intense notes of dark chocolate and espresso. A little brown sugar, some maple syrup and a generous helping of lactose sugar seal the deal. This beer will age for years to come, best enjoyed in moderation with fellow lovers of all things delicious.
