Description: Legend has it that long ago, before the Aztecs, the god Quetz chose the Tadarida bat to care for and proliferate the fruit of Opuntia—the tuna, or prickly pear. Since then Fortuna Roja—the red-crested vanguard—has warded the little fruit from feasting predator insects and carried its pollen across countries and continents as the cacti have travelled from their source in ancient Tenochtitlan. This stunningly bright-hued beer is our homage to the efforts of the Fortuna Roja, its intense tartness curbed only by the fullness imparted by the tunas during its long torpor in oaken barrels. ¡VIVA FORTUNA ROJA!
