Description: Four beers, one for each season, each of them inspired by the grounds and gardens of Fearrington. We've kept the winter edition largely the same over the years: a roasty, nutty coffee pecan porter. We cold-press Fearrington's signature nutty coffee blend, adding it to the grain bill of toasted and roasted malts and Georgia pecans. It fuses together to form a roasty, nutty, and medium-bodied coffee porter. With a pleasant aroma of toasted nuts and roasted coffee, the beer is a perfect accompaniment to smoked meats, chocolate, or coffee-based desserts. appearance: black, mocha hued head aroma: roasted coffee beans, fresh pastry, chocolate, toasted malt taste: black coffee, semi-sweet chocolate, pecan, roasted barely mouthfeel: round mild sweetness that fades into a slightly bitter roasty finish
