Description: The first beer to come out of our long term barrel ageing program. This is a rye saison brewed in July 2017. The beer was been aged in white wine barrels for 11 months to take on the character of the oak barrel and the wine it contained. A small amount of brettanomyces was added to the barrel to work with the existing yeast in the barrel to further develop the flavour and complexity of the beer.
