Description: In celebration of Riverbend Malthouse's 10th Anniversary we made this warming, medium-full bodied Wheatwine. We started off with a healthy helping of their new Sunset Wheat, and supported that with Base camp pale malt as well as a bit of honey malt. Hopped with Citra incognito and centennial, we then let this beer ferment to completion before an extended 7 weeks of cold conditioning to soften any rough edges. Expect a complex mélange of flavors and aromas from notes of honey buns and baking spice, to notes of fig, raisin, fruit cake and chewing tobacco. The hops lend an almost balancing bitterness but largely stay out of the way of the malt flavors. Cheers, and congratulations to Riverbend on 10 years of Crafting Malt in the southeast!
