The hardiest of cereals, rye outperforms all other cover crops on infertile, sandy or acidic soil or on poorly prepared land. Nature can be a ruthless machine on the bald prairie, but our farmers have learned to ryes against the machine! This tough little grain adds character and complexity to our beer, bringing bready and spicy notes to a classic Rye style.
