Description: This beer was commissioned by Waterfront Ale House owner Sam Barbieri, and brewed to his specifications by Greg Zaccardi, owner of High Point Brewing Co. Despite Sam secretly recusing himself from voting on this one it still won first place easily. Deep golden/light amber color, very clear, with a tight bubbled thick head. Slightly spicy grainy malt nose, with a touch of honey. “Very smooth. Great balance — malt, hops, and alcohol all fighting it out into the finish.” “Rich malt up front, but not too sweet. Good hop balance from middle to finish. Full bodied. A bit big for a maibock, but tasty."
