Description: We call out to the beasts of the sea to come forth and join us, for this our Fifth Anniversary! SuperBeast 2016 marks five long, hectic, hoppy, sometimes painful and crazy years for us at HopDog. It's a serious milestone, and calls for a serious barleywine that can stretch any brewer's limits. We decided that 50% of the grist should be rye. So after a long ferment, this Beast of the deep is ready to raise its slick and squishy tentacles. The rye adds an oily mouthfeel and spiciness, with an all-Australian hop bill adding citrus, and earthiness to the palate and aroma. If you can stop yourself, this beer is well worth cellaring, but best consumed fresh.
