Description: The Dreadnought was a revolutionary, armament laden, steam turbine propelled battleship that reset the scales of naval power when it was first launched in 1906. It inspired an entire generation of “dreadnoughts” and became the marker for a new era of power and military might. It’s provided inspiration for our brewers in the past, so when they set their minds to brewing a rich, resolute Foreign Extra Stout that’ll propel itself over your palate and embed itself in your memory, it was only natural that they’d be fired up by the force of this fast and fierce destroyer once again. Six specialty roasted malts, combined with our base malt provide a sturdy, rounded mouthful, signed off with the classical bitterness and earthy aroma furnished by British Fuggle Hops… just as Admiral Sir John Fisher, First Sea Lord of the Board of Admiralty would have wanted for his Royal Navy had they been able to get their battle weary mitts around a Foreign Extra Stout of their own (okay, we made that last bit up about the Admiral’s hop preference, but it sounded great and we’d like to give him credit for an exemplary appreciation of what was on his local bines).
