Description: One of Little Dipper's brewmasters is also know around town as Smiley, due to his cheerful disposition. The brewmasters have brewed an Irish Red Ale for St. Patrick's Day for years. Now they bring it to you as a Little Dipper beer with the appropriate name of O'Smiley's. O'Smiley's is an easy-drinking pint with a moderate malt character full of caramel and toasted notes. The copper color is a result of the judicious use of a small quantity of highly roasted malt, which also leaves a clean, dry finish with a hint of roasted flavor. While classic hops from the British Isles were used throughout the process, a deft dry-hopping with Simcoe, Amarillo and Citra hops lends a distinct Pacific Northwest to this classic Irish Red.
