Description: The story of why IPA's are both strong and hoppy is well known. In case you don't know, I'll lay it out real nice and slow. The beer was already made with a higher alcohol percentage to survive the trip from England to India and because the troops only got one pint a day. The temperature extremes and the rolling of the seas on the voyage to India caused highly attenuated beer upon arrival. Elevated levels of hops in the beer were both for flavor and a defense against beer spoilage. This is an American IPA though, much stronger than the British troops ever had. This brew is named after one of our kegerator regulars. Unlike the storm, it's a pleasure when she passes through. Special Techniques: Dry-Hopped in Fermenter Malts: 2-Row, Pilsner, Wheat, Organic Crystal 60 Hops: Brewers Gold, Perle, Nugget, Centennial, Falconers Flight Pellets OG: 1.060 TG: 1.010 ABV: 6.45 IBU: 69 SRM: 6
