Description: Stone Maul was the Monroe Brewery's first Strong Ale. It was brewed in 2007 and preceded Wade's Choice. It's an adaption and modification of Pole Ax from the Thompson Brewery in Salem. As the earliest relative to the modern day hammer, the stone maul was used for everything from housing materials to the grinding of grains. This is a full-bodied ale with a plethora of hops used in the flavor and aroma additions. At the Thompson, it's rumored to have magical properties. Hoist a pint and toast the next ten great years here at the Monroe Brewery.
