Description: This series of Imperial Stouts will showcase a certain coffee variety from around the world and how it interacts with beer. We decided to go big with our debut by commissioning our friends at Mostra Coffee in San Diego, CA to hunt for some of the world’s most expensive and rarest coffee beans known as Jamaican Blue Mountain. With over 80% of it’s production heading to Japan, finding these beans was no easy task. After receiving one of the few barrels of green beans that enter the US from the Mavis Bank Estate, Mostra delicately roasted the beans to show off its robust characteristics of chocolate, dark fruits and nuttiness.
