Description: A black handle offering that combines some of the ideas behind imperial stouts and strong belgian beer. Ringing in at just under 9% ABV, this beer is big, thick and hearty. Midnight black in color with a dark brown head, the aroma is chocolatey and roasty with some fruity esters. The body is big and full and creamy. Malt flavors start chocolatey and roasty with a touch of burnt caramel, (that is the stout), and interplay with the Belgian yeast character which imparts fruity, mild banana and dried dark fruit (raisin character. The resulting combination resembles both chocolate covered frozen bananas and roasted marshmallows. The finish is dry and moderately roast with a mild spicy kick from the yeast. Very unique, perfect to sip and ponder life during these brisk fall days and nights.
