Description: Our much beloved Imperial Stout gets another special treatment...this time in a blend of Speyside and Islay Scotch barrels. Aging in barrels from both Glen Grant and Laphroig this Milf blend is packed with depth and complexity. The immediate impression is that of the Laphroig barrels. Waves of calcium, smoke, and iodine dominate the aroma and palette. These barrels by themselves are extremely aggressive and this is where the Glen Grant barrels come in. The speyside expression is that of clover honey, pear, sweet orange, and a faint sweet cream. These two barrels compliment each other and yield a profile neither could achieve independently.
