Description: A mild Belgian inspired Christmas wheat beer. Brewed with sweet orange peel and freshly crushed coriander seeds. The elves that live at the old Brewhouse have tested and approved the beer and when serve in a big round glass Jólner makes the best beer for Christmas. Brewed only with little hops and lots of wheat, so it appears unfiltered with a solid and durable foam. A beer that should be enjoyed in the large round glass served at 5-7 degrees Celsius, (41-44°F). The aroma of spices like orange and coriander gives a perfectly aroma while drinking Jól. The Scandinavian word “Jól” bear witness that in Scandinavia, during the Viking ages, a festive period where all were drinking and eating to celebrate the sun is coming back. “To drink Jól” was the common expression from the Viking era well into the 1500s to celebrate winter solstice. There was a cheer for the gods: Njord, Freyr and Odin, who also was named Jólner, for a happy and fruitful new year.
