Description: Descendant is a unique and strong version of an Irish-style dry stout that is made with molasses and then fermented into a rustic tavern ale with our house Belgian yeast strain. Reminiscent of the dark beers of yore, we dub this hybrid style our Suffolk Dark Ale. For this special release, we fermented and aged Descendant in a premium bourbon barrel. The bourbon character from the barrel-aging perfectly complements the beer’s dark malts and molasses to create a one of a kind.
