Description: Imperial Malted Milk Stout. This beer is a collaboration between New Holland and Chef Cleetus Friedman of City Provisions in Chicago. Chef Cleetus wanted to make a beer that resembled a malted milk shake so we added lactose, an unfermentable dairy sugar typically used in milk stouts and malted milk powder – the sweet, distinctive flavoring in malted milkshakes and the candy, Whoppers. The nose is dominated by dark chocolate and malt sweetness with a hint of hazelnut. With you first sip you will find a creamy mouthfeel that will coat your pallet as rich chocolate flavors mingle with slight earthy bitterness.
